Pictures--- October 2010

Just got these new pictures of Elder Jeppsen. He was transferred on his Birthday (Oct. 12th) to what will most likely be his last area. He is still working hard and we are getting excited for his return next month. :)

Letter---September 9, 2010

We have a bunch of families we are working with down here. We have a few people that look like they will be baptized this month. They have still decided to keep me as a District Leader and who knows if that will ever change. The weather has started to cool off so that is FANTASTIC. It is now also school time so a lot more people are not at home. We are working with a bunch of people that go to Keesler Air Force Base. We also have a pretty active zone so we get to play some good basketball games. I have gotten so bad since I last played 20 months ago. Time seems to be flying by so that is pretty nice. Thanks for all the support from home. I really appreciate it.

Love

More Pictures

I think the next few were taken on moving day....

Kasey transferred to D'iberville, Mississippi in July. We just received his release papers and as of now he is scheduled to come home on December 22nd (a good birthday present for his big brother)

Letter---April 20, 2010

I have been in West Monroe for the past 3 months and its been great. We have a few baptismal dates coming up and we are way excited for them. The next one should be Gary Thibideaux. He is way cool and he quit smoking last week and is still doing way awesome with that. Its nice having a great district when they make you a District Leader. It makes your life much easier.

Thanks for everything!

Love Elder Jeppsen

Letter---March 23, 2010

I am very happy to hear from so many people back home. That is always great.

Out here in West Monroe we have been working pretty hard. We have lead the Zone in lessons for awhile. We have a few investigators.

#1 is Anna Gilliland. She is in her 40's and is ready the scriptures for hours every day. I will be baptizing her on the 27th. She is very excited for that. She even gave up smoking.
#2 is Chris. He is getting married to Ariel today! They are way awesome. She is a Less Active Member. Chris askes us for a baptismal date as well as for me to do it. His is on April 10th.
#3 is Jonny. He is getting married to Tony (Ariel's mom) today, too! He is a Mexican and is very funny. Not too much religious background. He is also set to be baptized on April 17th.
#4 is Gary Thibadeaux. He is an older man who is slowly understanding more and more. He is getting baptized the 10th or the 17th of April. He is a very friendly person.
#5 is Brandon. He is on parole til November 14th so he has a baptismal date for November 15th. We have to just wait for Parole...

As for my companion: His name is Elder Todd. I actually really really like him because I can tell he is trying his best. We get along well.

I love you all and hope all is well at home.

Letter---March 4, 2010

Things are going great. I love working out here. We have like 4 people getting baptized this transfer. I love being blessed. I am glad I get to stay here another 6 weeks at least.

The Kim's are doing great! They are still very strong and they gave talks last month and they are going to the temple in a month or so. I'm so happy for them. They have 2 children. Its just great to see how peoples lives change with the gospel.

I have started to become a much more effective teacher now. Its great to see how the spirit works.
