Letter--November 17, 2009

Here I am in a new area and with a new companion. I am now in Bogalusa, LA. My companion is Elder Hansen. He is from Idaho Falls. We are co-senior companions. He loves basketball more than anyone out here and keeps up with them everyday.
So far we don't have much going on out here. We are working with a mother and daughther and they seem to be working towards baptism. It is looking good. I have really been enjoying it out here. The branch is really good. I also like having my Zone Leader as one of my best friends out here on the mission. It is a nice plus.
I love hearing from all of you back home. Keep writing!
Love,
Elder Jeppsen
(Kasey also sent some pictures and we will be posting those soon)

Letter--October 6, 2009

Kasey is doing well and is staying busy and working hard. Here is a quick letter he sent me this week:

Well this week we taught Melody's mother and she felt the spirit and finally understands why she wants to be babtized so now she is letting her do that; As well as she accepted the Book of Mormon and is reading it. She is working toward baptism. We have James Simmons and his wife taking the lessons and they are progressing very much and loving what they learn. Also we have Sister Renosa, still being the spiritual giant that she is to her family. Hopefully her husband decides to give up his drinking problem and get baptized so he can help out their family. If you wanted to write Sis Renosa I bet she would love that. Thats how the work is here in Vicksburg... moving forward.... its so nice to be apart of it. Thanks for helping. Love Elder Jeppsen

Letter--July 8, 2009

Well-- In Vicksburg it has been super hot now. its kind of cooled down to 95 degrees. the humidity is still high. tends to happen when you are on the Mississippi. We have a few investigators. Rosa Renosa and her husband are getting close to baptism. If they keep going like they are they will be baptised in a few weeks. Latoya Jackson is being baptised when she turns 18 in august. Her little sister Melodie is waiting for her moms permission so we are working with her mother. she avoids us but we will find the way. Next is brother Riva. He is a dry member that i haven't been introduced to but he apparently wants to be baptised now. go figure. And mike he is a great guy. we have been talking with him for a while and now he has asked his friend (a member) how he can join the church. we meet him tomorrow. So that's them for now. Loving life here on the mission. love y'all back at home.

Letter---June 18th, 2009

The Mississippi River at Sunset

Hey Family!

I'm doing great out here in Vicksburg. The nice hot humid breeze running across my face. The little bugs biting and the smell of ghetto in the air. What more could you ask for? The people down here are great. They have a small ward but they want to get bigger so they are starting to do missionary work :) I'm getting good excercise. And i also am learning to understand a little spanish. I have a husband and wife I want chris and kami to write. I will send a letter to them about the perdicament that they are in. I have a few other people progressing so hopfully we can babtize them soon. Karen Tracer gets babtized this Saturday so I'm way happy. We are working on 2 kids on getting ready to go on missions. They aren't really wanting to go on missions but hopefully we can help change their minds so they can see how great they are. I also sent some pictures to Lisa who should be giving you some quickly. Is there any kind of pictures that you would like? Also please keep sending me letters, packages and more. I love ya'll.

Catch Up Coming Soon...

We wanted to start a blog for Kasey so all of his friends and family at home and also new friends out in the mission could check in and see how he is doing. Hopefully he becomes a good writer so we can keep you all updated. We will catch you up on the highlights of his mission soon.

As you can see on the right, this is a work in progress. I have asked Kasey to send me names and dates of different things and hopefully I can have all that info. added soon. He is a busy missionary so I will be patient.
